Eleven things we do at the rack
Each service below has a dedicated page with scope, typical tasks, and how the work is documented. In practice they overlap, and most visits combine a few, so if your job spans several of these, one dispatch covers it.
Rack and Stack
Receive shipments, mount and rail your servers and appliances, land power, dress and label cabling, and bring systems up to a known-good state.
Cabling and Cross-Connects
Run, label, and dress structured cabling, and coordinate and hand off cross-connects between your cabinet and the carriers, networks, or tenants you interconnect with.
Hardware Swaps and Upgrades
Drives, memory, power supplies, NICs, GPUs, or a full chassis. You ship the part, we do the hands-on replacement or upgrade in the rack.
Diagnostics and Troubleshooting
Eyes-on checks, power cycles, LED and POST reads, cable reseats, part isolation, and RMA swaps to get a dead or flapping box responding again.
Server and OS Configuration
OS install and repair, BIOS and firmware settings, out-of-band management setup, and console or KVM sessions when your team is locked out of a box.
Network Device Configuration
Console into routers, switches, and firewalls to load configs, recover access, or stage new gear ahead of a turn-up or cross-connect.
Server Decommissioning and Removal
One unit or a whole cabinet: unrack retired gear, wipe or destroy media to your spec, pack and palletize, and coordinate outbound freight from the loading dock.
Smart Hands
Skilled, guided work at the rack: config changes, labeled swaps, and step-by-step tasks run with a technician on the phone alongside your team.
Inventory and Audits
A walk of your cabinets to confirm the rack matches your records: serials and rack-unit positions captured, each face photographed, and the result reconciled against your list.
Migrations and Moves, Adds, Changes
Shift a cage across a suite or work a queue of moves, adds, and changes against a live rack, without breaking what runs on it.
Visual Verification and Eyes-On
A technician walks to your cabinet, looks at the exact thing you cannot see from a dashboard, and sends photos of what is really there.

Where retired hardware can go
A decommission ends with a hand-off. For clients who need the gear to reach a certified recycler, we keep a list of facilities in New York and New Jersey drawn from the public R2, e-Stewards, NYS DEC and NJ DEP registries, with a registry link on every row. You choose the vendor; we get the hardware from the rack to their dock with a documented chain of custody.
