// services
Hands on your gear, so your team does not have to fly.
From a single reboot to a full cage refresh, we cover the physical work and the skilled work. You send the scope, we put a qualified tech on the floor.
-
Rack & stack
Receive shipments at the dock, mount and rail your gear, land power, dress and label cabling, and bring systems up to a known-good state.
-
Cabling & cross-connects
Structured cabling, patch runs, and cross-connect turn-ups. Clean cable management, labeling, and cleanup of whatever mess was left behind.
-
Hardware swaps & upgrades
Drives, RAM, PSUs, NICs, GPUs, or a full server or appliance swap. You ship the part, we do the hands-on work in the rack.
-
Diagnostics & troubleshooting
Eyes-on checks, power cycles, LED, POST and beep-code reads, part isolation, and RMA swaps to get a dead box talking again.
-
Server & OS config
OS install and repair, BIOS, BMC, iDRAC and iLO setup, console and KVM sessions, and config recovery when you are locked out.
-
Network device config
Console into routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, and more) to load configs, recover access, or stage new gear.
-
Decommission, pack & ship
Unrack, wipe or destroy media to your spec, pack and palletize, and coordinate freight out of the facility.
-
Inventory & audits
Asset tracking, serial and label capture, and photo audits so your records match what is actually racked in the cage.
-
Migrations & moves/adds/changes
Project hands for cage moves, refreshes, and scheduled MACs. Extra qualified bodies when your own team cannot be on site.
-
Visual verification / eyes-on
A tech on the floor for status checks, indicator reads, and photo documentation when you just need trusted eyes on the gear.
// coverage
Dispatched to any data center in the metro. And beyond.
If your gear lives in a New York or New Jersey facility, we can reach it. Here is where we work most, and it is not the full list.
// data center alley
We work Ashburn.
Ashburn, Virginia is Data Center Alley, the largest data center market in the world. The same techs who cover New York get dispatched south. If you run gear in both markets, you get one vendor and one point of contact for hands in New York and Ashburn.
// global reach on request
We follow your footprint.
New York is home base, but the work travels. On request, our team has also handled jobs well outside the metro. These are proof of reach, not permanent field offices.
- Pennsylvaniaon request
- Miami, FLon request
- Lima, Peruon request
- Hong Kongon request
When your infrastructure needs hands somewhere unexpected, ask. If we can get a trusted tech there, we will.
// process
From ticket to invoice in four steps.
No portals to learn, no runaround. You reach a human, we handle the facility, you watch the work happen.
-
01
Request
Open a ticket by form or phone, 24/7. Tell us the site, the gear, and exactly what needs to happen.
-
02
Access & dispatch
We coordinate facility access, badging, and escort, then dispatch a local tech to the floor.
-
03
Work + live updates
Your tech works the task and sends photos and notes as they go, so you see the job in real time.
-
04
Report & invoice
You get documented work, a clear summary, and a transparent hourly invoice. No mystery line items.
// why remotehands.nyc
Independent, fast, and accountable.
-
NYC-local, so dispatch is fast
Our techs are in the city, not on a plane. Local presence means we reach the floor quickly instead of booking flights and hotels.
-
24/7, including emergencies
Nights, weekends, and outages. Someone answers and someone rolls. Downtime does not keep business hours, and neither do we.
-
Experienced across the brands you run
Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Supermicro, Cisco, Juniper, Arista, and the rest of what lives in a modern cage. Your gear is not new to us.
-
Every job photo-documented
You get pictures and notes with every visit. Proof of exactly what was touched, not just a line on an invoice.
-
Transparent hourly, no bloated minimums
Billed for the time we actually work, in fair increments. No padded minimums, no surprise fees at the bottom of the page.
-
Discreet and NDA-friendly
We work quietly in your cage and sign your NDA. Your infrastructure and your customers stay your business.
// pricing
Two tiers. Billed for the work, not the walk-up.

Common questions.
Remote hands covers basic physical tasks where you tell us exactly what to do: reseat a cable, swap a labeled part, read a light, cycle power, or handle a shipment. Smart hands covers skilled work that needs a technician who knows the gear: configuration, console and KVM sessions, network device setup, troubleshooting, and OS repair. We do both, and you only pay for the skill level the task actually needs.
We are on call 24/7 and our techs are NYC-local, so we can usually get someone moving quickly, including nights and weekends. Actual timing depends on the facility, its access and escort process, and the scope of work. We confirm a realistic ETA when you open the ticket rather than promise a number we cannot honor at every site.
Every major facility in the NY/NJ metro, including Equinix NY1 through NY13, 60 Hudson Street, 111 8th Avenue, 32 Avenue of the Americas, 325 Hudson, CoreSite, Digital Realty, QTS in Jersey City and Piscataway, Sabey Intergate, Evocative EWR, 165 Halsey Street, Secaucus, and more. If your site is not on the list, ask. We very likely cover it.
Yes. The same team gets dispatched to Ashburn, Virginia, Data Center Alley, the largest data center market in the world. If you run gear in both New York and Ashburn, you get one vendor and one relationship covering both markets instead of juggling separate providers.
Hourly, in 30-minute increments, with project pricing and monthly retainers available for larger or ongoing scopes. There are no bloated minimums. You receive a photo-documented report and a transparent invoice for the time worked. Request a rate sheet and we will send current numbers sized to your sites and volume.
We are NDA-friendly and discreet. We follow your facility's access and security process, work only the scope you approve, and document exactly what we touch. Your infrastructure, your data, and your customers stay your business.
